Gratitude – Vilia Y Reynolds
Gratitude flows through me, a gentle stream,
That fills my heart and makes my spirit beam;
For God, who is my shelter in the storm,
Protecting me, and keeping me from harm.
For my dear husband, with his loving care,
Whose presence in my life is always there;
He lifts me up, and makes my heart feel light,
And fills my days with joy and with delight.
I'm grateful for the privilege to care,
For my dear mother, with her silver hair;
The moments that we share are precious gold,
And bring a beauty that cannot be told.
My children, grandchildren, pets, and all,
Bring blessings to my life, both great and small;
Their love and laughter warms my heart each day,
And in their presence, I find strength to pray.
Oh, what a gift it is, to simply be,
To live this life, and feel so blessed and free;
For every moment, every breath I take,
I give thanks, and marvel at the world's great grace.
